Bright and Highlighted Under Eyes08:56
I love my under eye area to be extremely bright and highlighted, I don't like anything subtle, I really like something thats quite in your face so I will be sharing with you how I achieve my look.
STEP ONE : CORRECT
I suffer from particularly bad dark circles, they're quite black so I need something heavy duty to conceal it. Previously before using corrector I used to just pop on concealer and this never actually worked, it created a grey and ashy area under my eyes which was horrendous. So I use the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Dark Bisque, its quite orange tone but it completely eliminates my dark circles, creating a clean canvas for me to work with.
STEP TWO: CONCEAL
After I have corrected, I go in with a concealer. I personally love the MAC Pro Longwear concealer, its very high coverage but isn't it thick and cakey so its perfect for the under eye. This brightens up my under eyes a little bit but I mainly use it to neutralise the orange tone that the corrector left.
STEP THREE: HIGHLIGHT
After I have down the previous two steps, I then go in with my brightening concealer. I personally love the Mac Prep + Prime in Light Boost. It's quite light but this is perfect for highlighting and has a yellow undertone so it really makes the underye area bright and pop! I apply this in the traditional triangle method.
STEP FOUR: POWDER
This is such an important step, you don't want to have worked so hard to conceal and brighten only for your concealers to have creased and moved around. So what I do is take a loose powder, I love the MAC CC Loose Powder in Neutralise, this has a very yellow tone to it so again emphasises on the bright and highlighted under eyes and I will apply that in a patting motion to the areas where the concealers were applied. Some times I bake with this, other days I don't it usually depends on how much time I have!
And that concludes how I conceal and highlight! I know this may seem excessive but this routine is more for when i'm going out clubbing or special occasions, I never do this on an everyday basis. Let me know how you get a bright under eye and which products you would personally recommend!
